Leon Marais is an independent customs consultant living in South Africa.

Leon works with traditional publishers and electronic publishers, for example e-Global logistic solution developers and Customs Information and Communication (ICT) companies and and customs brokers.

Before setting up his own company in 1996, he was an Assistant Director at the South African Customs Department.

Leon specialises in customs duty (import tax) management and in keeping his clients up-to-date with the latest development in international trade legislation through customs news bulletin and newsletters.
