We also provide our clients with up-to-date legal information, and inform them about any changes to South African import export legislation.
Our clients include publishers (traditional and electronic) of legal and Customs tariff information, and customs brokers (customs house brokers / customs clearing, forwarding and shipping agents) and the South African government. Before setting up the company in 1996, the founder, Leon Marais, was an Assistant Director at the South African Customs Department (currently the South African Revenue Service (SARS)).
Products include the Jacobsens Harmonized Customs Tariff, the Jacobsens Customs News Bulletin and the Jacobsens Guide to Tariff Classification.
Recent projects include:
trade compliance and landed cost web engines,
a Harmonized Customs Tariff database (website); and
an electronic Customs Management Solution (eCMS).
